Blending In – EXO

18 Aug 2025

EXO, designed by Cristopher Siniväli, emerged as the winner of the ERKI Fashion Show, claiming both the Innovative Approaches in Fashion award and the Audience Choice title. The collection of wearable ceramics reimagines armor as a second skin. Drawing from Estonian folklore and natural defense forms, scales, crosses, and squares transform into contemporary symbols of self-reflection. Blending myth with psychoanalysis, EXO turns vulnerability into strength and protection into art, offering an experience that is as emotional as it is aesthetic.

This editorial shows how something so fragile, so poetic, can easily blend in – into the everyday chaos, or what we call the mundane. It’s about how we perceive our day-to-day life: to blend in like everyone else, or to blend in precisely to not be like everybody else.
