Interview by Anne Vetik

Rejoice, lovers of gloomy, romantic, and dreamy synth compositions, as modern troubadour Croatian Amor himself will grace Dreamscape Festival with his presence. Be sure to catch his show on Saturday, February 15th, at Paavli Kultuurivabrik. Oh, and he has also graciously deigned to answer a couple of Trickster's questions!

First musical experience that you still remember?

I remember seeing a Danish hiphop group sitting on my fathers shoulders, I don´t know how old I was, but can’t have been more than 6-7 years old. And then I remember chanting mantras In temples in India around the same age. Both things still influence me.

You are very versatile musician: whats your recipe for freeing your mind/creativity?

I try to have as much fun as possible.

What do you aim for when performing, where do you want to take your public?

Into the present.

Do your tracks (as Croatian Amor) have somekind of narrative, are there stories hidden in them?

I am not sure I haven’t looked!

Is it easy for you to get on a stage a perform for a bunch of strangers?

I still don't find it easy, but I do sometimes find it very rewarding.

What do you listen to when you a) feel nostalgic b) want to relax c) want to party?

Durutti Column for all 3

Ingridients for a good live are...?

Awareness.

What kind of bars/venues/clubs you like, what makes a place really special?

I like places with people in them and then I like places with no people but for music mostly the ones with people.

Do you prefer to work on music alone or with a team?

I like both :)

Is there a song that really-truly gets on your nerves?

Yes.

Your favourite place in the world?

Right here.

Mountains or beach?
Woods.

Cat or dog?
Both.

Can you describe, how Trickster would sound?
