Trickster is pleased to present an editorial serving as a bridge between winter's darkness and spring's lightness, photographed by Greta Liht. The concept behind the pictures is looking for spring fashion treasures in your own closet.
"We were inspired by the mixing of muddy and occasionally dull weather with the blooming of first bright flowers, green tufts of grass, and the blinding rays of sun in spring. Just like the spring weather, the use of color in styling is meant to be unpredictable and surprising. Cleaning out my closet always involves looking back at my past. Lately, I've been going back to the items or aesthetics I wore in my elementary and/or high school years. I often wonder if it’s sentimentality that wants me to retrace the steps I took in the past? Or is it just the natural cycle of fashion (or life) that keeps me going in circles and I just don’t know how to change course? I actually don’t want any answers. But, for the things that have turned cringe, I’d love for people to find joy in them again," explains Liht.
